Hello everyone ! I am a graduate student from Marymount University who was doing the capstone project for my Master Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with focus in Special education. I was creating the survey for 10 teachers to eluvate techer professional compitition teaching during pandemic Covid 19
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many teachers felt alone and in need of support. As someone who had to embark on this virtual education journey. It is very difficult to face the pandamic and it stressful for teacher to figure out of how to teach thier stdents in online ,Becasue this has many students engaging in Distance Learning. It is very different from the typical classroom education students are used to.However, it is not only the students whose lifestyle has changed, it also affects teachers.
This is the link of the survey form that I create for collect the data and answer from teachers

How was your experience teaching students from home?
Aaron Besser who teaches 9th-12th grades says "It's been very strange. There's a lot to say, sort of hard to just summarize. At this point having done it since August, I am satisfied with the routines I've set, the technologies I've learned, and the systems I've put in place to still deliver the best instruction I can."
Corinne Vigen who teachElementary- 5 grade say "Good. I felt like some strived but others did not. Same as in the building but some surprised me. I was wondering if some of my coworkers are the ones making things more stressful than the students themselves."
Mostly teachers say "yes"they satisfied with the technology and software that they use for online teaching in 22%
How you feel about switching to teaching online during pandemic. How does this affect your work in teaching online? What would you do to accomplish your work?
I found that mostly teachers feel overwhelmed when they had to face to the online learning at first but after they continue teaching they adapt and found the way to teach students through online learning. The technology is affect them to teach online when they had to use for the first time which is about internet and material. Communication with other teachers is the most important to teach students especially young age students who need the most attention.
CS .who teach FCPS School / 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades said :
"First of all, I never thought this would ever happen. Learning online is a very new thing for both teachers and students that have to learn. I feel overwhelmed for the first few months by this situation because my students are in Special Education and they need reinforcement in Education. They cannot stay a long time in front of the computer, they do not have enough patience to keep on track or pay attention in the lesson. Also, poor internet connection, students are not participating in the class, students not staying on the platform for the entire sessions, etc. It has been a new challenge and reminds me, we have to be flexible at all times. What I would do to accomplish my work? I would like to create a positive learning environment where my students feel safe to learn and I would like to support my students as much as I can. My work is my students, to help them achieve their goals and be good citizens."
I hope that my capstone project" Teacher perspective teaching in distance learning (Zoom) during the pandemic (K12)" will be beneficial to educators all around the world in the future when we have to face the pandemic or any problem. I hope that everything will get better soon and we can go back to the normal life and in person classrooms like we used to but maybe Online learning or distance learning will be another option in the future or in the next education system.
